PnK Pillaging Sword - Wabbit0101/mods_hoardercraft GitHub Wiki
As of: mc1.12.2-4.0b7 (Oct-2018)
The Pillaging Sword is craftable harvesting hack sword designed for use with standard villager breeding farms. Of course you can use the sword against encountered-as-you-explore villagers but because of the total reputational damage it causes, you will not be able to trade in that village. The sword is also pretty effective in general against any mob or any player. As with all the mod's hack swords, the pillaging sword is very good at lobing off mob heads; in this case, villager, zombie villager, witches, and illager heads.
The sword's main material are two Corrupted Golem Bones. You'll need to create a corrupted golem Eye Of Giants strength 2 or higher to use on regular golem bones like so:
An iron golem will rarely drop an Eye of Giants when killed by a player. You'll find Dark Tomes occasionally inside the crown chest of a raided Beanstalk.
Loot Loot Loot! (maybe)
Gathering the materials for a Pillaging Sword is a chore. The main reason to go through the trouble is because of the added drops you're going to get from using this sword versus another. The pillaging sword gets you role-based loot pouches as common drops. Each pouch's contents are based on the target's role within a village or in relation to a village. Villagers like Nitwits can provide a variety of uncommon items because they have no game-assigned role so they can drop pouches tied to general activities like "exploring" or "gathering" or even "thieving".
These special pouches are available currently: Alchemist, Ammo, Butcher, Dye Mixer, Explorer, Farmer, Fisherman, Forester, Gatherer, Grocer, Healer, Hunter, Librarian, Metalsmith, Miner, Monster, Stone Cutter, Technician, Thief, and Tool Maker. Some pouches, like Alchemist and Metalsmith, have tiers that depend on a villager's age.

Mod Dependencies
There is a gotcha if you want to use the sword to get loot pouches as intended: PinklySheep uses the SmartHoppers mod to supply the custom pouches and the SuperBlocks mod to spice up otherwise run-of-the-mill items. If you do not have SmartHoppers installed, pouches are not available and the villager drops aren't nearly as diverse or interesting; instead, the drops are limited to whatever's in the villager's inventory (carrots, potatoes, and bread mostly) and occasionally-- if you've traded with the villager before zapping him, something from his trading supplies.
Restrictions Apply
Child villagers will never drop loot and adult villagers spawned via some automated mechanism must be at least two Minecraft days old before they will drop anything as a result of being killed with a Pillaging Sword.
Eminently Corruptible
The Pillaging sword benefits from a max level Corrupting Taint enchantment. Max corruption will increase the sword's actual damage per hit regardless of the target. If the SmartHoppers mod is not installed so there are no special loot pouch drops from villagers, a thoroughly corrupt sword will ensure that some item from a merchant villager's hidden goods and payments is dropped.
There Be Consequences
Using the Pillaging sword within a valid village's boundaries will negatively impact your reputation even more than is usual for doing naughty things to villagers. Beware of iron golems.
Repair
The only way to repair a Pillaging sword is with a Master Reforger's Gem but you can extend the sword's durability with both the Unbreaking and Mending enchantments. Mod-specific enchantments like Scavenging Heal and Parasitic Mending also work. ALL enchantments must be X-enchantments.
