PnK Lava Blade Sword - Wabbit0101/mods_hoardercraft GitHub Wiki
As of: mc1.12.2-4.0 (Feb-2019)
The Lava Blade Sword is a journeyman reforger's specialty sword. The durability and attack stats of this sword are the same as a standard unenchanted diamond sword so it's the additional features that make this sword desirable, especially when you're exploring the nether or the underground in the overworld. The lava blade sword is also a required materal for other advanced-game swords like the Hellfire Sword. Use standard versions of all materials shown below.
Reforger's Request
Secondary Attacks
In addition to its direct damage, the lava blade has a secondary lava attack for each hit AND also sets the target on fire for 16 seconds which matches the burn time from stepping in lava. The sword has builtin knockback and the player is given a short 15 sec dousing buff on each hit so touching burning mobs in close quarters is not a problem. If you're still concerned about catching on fire (eg playing in hard mode) just sneak right-click the sword in the air to give yourself an immediate 2 min fire dousing effect.
Light and Fire Source
In the overworld, if you right-click your lava blade against a non-flammable surface other than obsidian it will place down a lumi light that looks like a sliver of lava (it's NOT lava and is perfectly safe). If you right-click against a surface that is flammable or an obsidian block, or you're in the nether dimension, the hit block is set on fire. Each lumi light uses 1 durability, so the light/fire functions are available only when the sword has more than 15% of its durability left. If a sword has less than 15% durability its texture will change so you know this functionality is disabled. Repair the sword to continue placing light or fire.
Repair
You can repair a lava blade sword by right-clicking against a lava source block or with a bucket of lava or equivalent on an anvil. For lava buckets, the anvil will consume your empty bucket so use an alternate repair material if you can. If you have the SuperBlocks mod installed, you can also use stackable Lava Splonges instead of lava buckets. A lava bucket or source block repairs 25% of the base durability of the sword; in the nether the repair rate increases to 50%.
