English: 1. Hardware versions - WLANThermo/WLANThermo_Hardware GitHub Wiki

Welcome to the WLANThermo Hardware Wiki! The following versions of hardware exist:

Version 1

This is the very first version WLANThermo Version 1 It contains the ADC and a transistor for the beeper. The latter pitmaster-functionality was usually done with a servo or electronic speedregulator (from R/C cars) and adapted to the add-on connector. There was no additional electronics on the PCB for that. a third connector is used for a 20x4 LCD.

Version 2

More or less identical to version 1 except for swapping the 8 channel resistors and the sensor-connector. That changed polarity and now GND was on the sensors and not 3.3V any more. Picture shows a version 2. Please observe PCB marking and actual opposite positioning of resistors and connector. WLANThermo Version 2

Version 3

Here a step-down converter provides 5V power for the PCB and the Raspberry Pi generated from a 12V source. A pitmaster-circuit allows to connect a blower for automatic temperaturecontrol of a charcoal-combustion-grill. The 20x4 LCD can also be connected to check temperatures locally at the device. Display-light and the Raspberry itself can be switched on and off by a ATiny microcontroller. WLANThermo Version 3

There is also a very rare SMT-version: WLANThermo Version 3 SMD

Mini Version

Here, the 12V for a fan/blower are generated with a step-up converter from the 5V. Powering the device with a powerbank is now possible. The 20x4 LCD is replaced by a 2.8" Nextion-TFT touchscreen and the ATiny is gone. A case was designed to be printed in 3D. WLANThermo mini
