The WIO Symphony project is a collaboration between the Nairobi Convention, its ten member states in East Africa and a team of Swedish institutions lead by the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management.
TWG, the technical working group
Representatives from each country have come together to form the Technical Working Group (TWG). The group is involved from start. The TWG will ensure that the WIO Symphony tool is tailored to the specific needs of the end-users in the region. The TWG is important. Their county expertise makes the WIO Symphony tool possible.
TWG plus
The TWG plus or TWG+ consist of representatives, contributors and experts from the region. The group together collect, share and work with data that will make it possible to measure the cumulative environmental impact in the region. They made the sensitivity matrix. During spring 2022, the project has moved into a new phase, starting The Thematic Groups.
Swedish Team
The Swedish Team is a collaboration between four Swedish institutions. The Swedish Team manages the project, arranges working meetings, provides data storage, gives technical training and handles communications.
