Description

My Cloud Home is a recent (end of 2017) product line with more focus towards basic home user features such as personal cloud and sharing, a bit less on traditional NAS services such as SSH, FTP, iSCSI, etc..

My Cloud Home runs the 'Kamino' stack on a Realtek RTD1295PBCG processor. Kamino is based on Android M, so it is completely different to the Linux based OS3. It's more difficult to modify the firmware and add custom scripts and applications, e.g. there's no simple button to enable SSH.

Hardware details

The Realtek kernel source is not publicly available, so it's not easy to install custom firmware.
