PROJECT TITLE NAME: DIY mechanical flower
-
Main Problem: Traditional static decorative flower pots lack interactive engagement, automated motion, and synchronized aesthetic lighting.
-
Main Function: To detect a user trigger (touch or proximity) and automatically execute a smooth, controlled vertical linear blooming motion of wire frame petals .
-
Key Functions: Synchronized mechanical lifting, pure vertical Linear Actuation, Touch/IoT Control, and Dynamic LED Illumination.
-
Important Components: 1mm brass wire, 3mm copper tubes, ESP32-C3 board, stepper motor, 15A PWM MOSFET control module, touch switch, wireless charging module, 1260 LED lights (pink and green), ceramic-insulated copper wire, 56 Ohm 1W resistors, and 10,000 µF capacitors.
-
Working Principle: Touch switch / sensor triggered -> signal sent to ESP32-C3 microcontroller -> controller activates driver/MOSFET module -> stepper motor drives leadscrew upward -> push rod lifts petal linkage arm vertically -> petals bloom outward smoothly while LEDs illuminate.
-
User Benefits: Interactive Engagement: Transforms standard room decor into an interactive experience where the user initiates the blooming display. Reliable Mechanics: Leverages sturdy leadscrews for smooth, repeatable vertical operation. Portable & Self-Contained: Designed to be easily transportable with internal batteries and wireless charging, requiring no complex external wiring setup.
-
Applications: a) Home Tabletop Decor, b) Office Desk Ornaments, c) Gifting & Anniversaries, d) Ambient Nightlights, e) Special Events & Exhibitions.
-
Future Improvements: a) Wireless IoT Control: Integration of full cloud dashboard connectivity for remote scheduling and status monitoring. b) Advanced Sensor Arrays: Upgrading to multi-point capacitive or sound-activated sensors for enhanced interactivity. c) Modular Aesthetic Casings: Interchangeable outer pot shells to easily switch between different interior design themes. d) Auditory Feedback: Integrating synchronized soothing background sounds or chimes to activate alongside the blooming phase.
-
Design Objectives: The completed device should be space-efficient, visually appealing, cost-effective, dependable, durable for multiple uses, and simple to handle—ensuring an unforgettable aesthetic unveiling via the fusion of engineering, smart technology, and innovative presentation.
