Shapeshift 2 Model (S2M)
Shapeshift 2 Model Format (S2M, not to be confused with S3M Module Music Files) is Shapeshift's Primary Save Format. It is not intended for use within games. (but if you so wish, you may attempt to create or modify the loader from Shapeshift)
The Format is used to contain all of the content Shapeshift itself saves with Projects such as: Points, Shapes, Materials, etc.
This format updates with every new version and may end up having Compatibility issues down the line, after such a change a the previous version's format will be available from the Import option.
Shapeshift Game Ready Model (SGRM)
Known in 2.0.0 as Shapeshift Exported Model (STEM) Files, SGRM is the Model Format intended for use in Games made with P3D. It does not contain Materials, Points or any other data only used in the editor. It is built off of the S2M Format with major alterations. Saving Shapes is Simplified here, treating them all identically. Because of how P3D handles shapes they all easily share the same data.
