A Simple Tutorial On Setting Up Politics

When reading through the documentation of Politics, one could easily think that Politics is extremely complicated to set up. This is not really the case however. Politics comes with some presets to emulate setups from Bukkit plugins of old, such as Towny and Factions.

To begin with, you will need Spout. If you do not have it, you can download Spout here. Spout is fairly simple to set up, but we will not go into detail on it here to avoid too much information. Just search for a tutorial on how to set up Spout if you need one.

Once you have set up Spout, you are ready to install Politics. As you would with any other plugin, download Politics and put it in your Spout plugins folder. When you first run Politics, it should generate some configuration files. Tweak these to your requirements if you want to, but they should be fine to run straight off the bat. You can then either use a preset or create your own group configuration.
