This is mostly due to complex medication regimens as a result of the number of pills required to consume throughout the day. With these large amount of prescriptions, the consequences of forgetting to take medication at a particular time, or even taking the same medication more than once, could be devastating. The Pillar pill dispenser is an IoT device that aims to tackle medical non-adherence through the use of technology. As people are getting more accustomed to the ubiquitous nature of technology and smart devices, Pillar aims to capitalize on this opportunity to address an increasingly avoidable problem in health care.
