3. Other Existing Models And DIY Projects
3.1 DIY High-Speed Friction Wheels Launcher
This is a DIY launcher built with Makeblock suits. We used two CNC motors to drive friction wheels, of which the speed can reach 120km/h theoretically. The machine is strong enough because of its metal framework. The maximum no-load speed of the friction wheels could be close to 10000RPM, so that please be careful in your progress of testing.
3.2 Automatic Ball Launcher
The ball thrower is quite simple to make, no need of advanced knowledge of electronics or mechanics, besides using materials relatively easy to find, it is quite cheap, it cost me less to realize the whole project. However, I believe that buying electronic parts in China and reducing the cost of printing designs. All the launchers could reduce their cost.
3.3 Arduino Controlled Ping Pong Balls Launcher
This is a ping pong balls launcher designed to be controlled by an arduino.
It uses a servo to dispense the balls and two motors with wheels to give speed and shoot them.
All the pieces can be printed using an 3D printed and the base can be done using a CNC or a laser cutter.
