• The following resolution is for if you receive an Outlook can’t upgrade database error when trying to launch Outlook.
•
• Click on the desktop, press the command and A keys to launch the “Applications” folder.
•
• Scroll down to “Microsoft Outlook,” right-click on it and select “Show Package Contents.”
•
• Expand the “Contents” and “ShareSupport” Folders and double-click the “Outlook Profile Manager” application.
•
• Select the + button to create a new profile.
•
• Type a name for the new profile and press the return key.
•
• Right-click on the new profile and select “Set Default.”
•
• Press the command key and spacebar to launch Spotlight Search, type “outlook” and select the “Microsoft Outlook” application.
•
• Outlook will launch this time around.
•
• Return to Outlook Profile Manager, select the old profile and press the - button to delete the old profile.
•
• Select “Delete.”
•
• The old profile will be deleted.
