• Press the “command” key and spacebar to launch Spotlight Search, type “terminal” and select the “Terminal” application.
•

• Type cupsctl WebInterface=Yes and press the return to enable the CUPS web interface.
•

• Launch a web browser (I’m using Safari), type “localhost:631/printers” in the address bar and press the return key.
•

• Select the printer you wish to change default settings for.
•

• Expand the second menu and select “Set Default Options.”
•

• Make your desired change(s).
•

• Select “Set Default Options.”
•

• Type your username in the “User Name” box, type your password in the “Password” box and select “Sign In.”
