Sections off the salt and appends the beginning section to the plaintext and prepends the ending section to the plaintext.

• number: If the only argument specified, this is the spot in the salt that will be the chop point. If it is the first of two arguments, it determines how long the beginning section is and it can overlap with the end section.
• Optional number: Indicates at what point the end section should start from. Can overlap with the beginning section.
