This is an overview of the VTDLP Metadata Elements, Version 1.0.

alternative	dcterms.alternative	String	X		An alternative name for the resource.
basis_of_record		String	X		The specific nature of the data record.
bibliographic_citation	dcterms.bibliographicCitation	String	X		A bibliographic reference for the resource.
conforms_to	dcterms.conformsTo	String	X		An established standard to which the described resource conforms.
contributor	dcterms.contributor	String	X		An entity responsible for making contributions to the resource.
coverage	dcterms.coverage	String	X		The spatial or temporal topic of the resource, spatial applicability of the resource, or jurisdiction under which the resource is relevant.
create_date		String			Date that a podcast is published to the DLP
created	dcterms.created	String	X		Date of creation of the resource.
creator	dcterms.creator	String	X		An entity responsible for making the resource.
date	dcterms.date	String	X		A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource.
description	dcterms.description	String	X		A free-text account of the resource. This element will accept rich text formatted with HTML tags.
display_date		String	X		A date to display in the site. Can be in any format.
end_date		String			If the item has a date range, then also include an end date for the range in this field. Format it the same way as start_date using yyyy/mm/dd
explicit		Boolean			Indicates whether this item contains explicit content
extent	dcterms.extent	String	X		The size or duration of the resource. Recommended practice is to specify the file size in megabytes and duration in ISO 8601 format.
format	dcterms.format	String	X		The file format, physical medium, or dimensions of the resource.
has_format	dcterms.hasFormat	String	X		A related resource that is substantially the same as the pre-existing described resource, but in another format.
has_part	dcterms.hasPart	String	X		A related resource that is included either physically or logically in the described resource.
has_version	dcterms.hasVersion	String	X		A related resource that is a version, edition, or adaptation of the described resource.
identifier	dcterms.identifier	String		X	An unambiguous reference to the resource within a given context. This field is not system generated, but is instead supplied as part of the metadata.
is_format_of	dcterms.isFormatOf	String	X		A pre-existing related resource that is substantially the same as the described resource, but in another format.
is_part_of	dcterms.isPartOf	String	X		A related resource in which the described resource is physically or logically included.
is_version_of	dcterms.isVersionOf	String	X		A related resource of which the described resource is a version, edition, or adaptation.
language	dcterms.language	String	X		A language of the resource.
license	dcterms.license	String	X		A legal document giving official permission to do something with the resource.
medium	dcterms.medium	String	X		The material or physical carrier of the resource.
other_identifier		String	X		Other identifiers associated with the item.
provenance	dcterms.provenance	String	X		A statement of any changes in ownership and custody of the resource since its creation that are significant for its authenticity, integrity, and interpretation.
publisher	dcterms.publisher	String	X		An entity responsible for making the resource available.
references	dcterms.references	String	X		A related resource that is referenced, cited, or otherwise pointed to by the described resource.
relation	dcterms.relation	String	X		A related resource. This element will accept rich text formatted with HTML tags.
repository		String	X		An administrative body or a building that houses or displays a cultural work. May not necessarily be the same as the location of the owner of the work or collection.
rights_holder	dcterms.rightsHolder	String	X		A person or organization owning or managing rights over the resource.
rights	dcterms.rights	String	X		Information about rights held in and over the resource. This element will accept rich text formatted with HTML tags.
source	dcterms.source	String	X		A related resource from which the described resource is derived. This element will accept rich text formatted with HTML tags.
spatial	dcterms.spatial	String	X		Spatial characteristics of the resource.
start_date		String			This date must be formatted as yyyy/mm/dd. This date is not displayed in the site but is used for sorting and filtering.
subject	dcterms.subject	String	X		A topic of the resource.
tags		String	X		Linked keywords
temporal	dcterms.temporal	String	X		Temporal characteristics of the resource.
title	dcterms.title	String		X	A name given to the resource.
type	dcterms.type	String	X		The nature or genre of the resource.
visibility		Boolean			Indicates whether the item will be visible or hidden from display in the site.
