Prerequisites
You should be an active member of the team going to the competition.
Register online
Navigate to the fleet commander website's signup page.
Log into your VT account.
Read it.
Fill out the information. Some notes that might help:
- VT Organization: Astrobotics at Virginia Tech
- Faculty/Staff/Student: What are you? Probably a Student
- Organization Name: Aerospace & Ocean Engineering 010100
- Fund Manager Name: Cory Thompson
- Fund Manager Phone: 540-231-9057
- Fund Manager Email: [email protected]
- You can leave the Comments section blank.
Submit your registration information.
Sign the proper use of state vehicles form
Can be found here online or a backup copy here in our Drive.
Once you have signed this form, send it to our advisor, Dr. Kevin Shinpaugh at [email protected]. The subject line shall be "Astrobotics FS2 Form."
Zoom meeting
If you have submitted your information, you now need to have a literal 2-minute Zoom meeting with someone from Fleet Services to confirm your valid Driver's License. I don't know why they don't accept a picture via email. Just call them at 540-231-6141 to set up an appointment. I called and had my Zoom meeting immediately, but I can't promise that all of the time.
