Prerequisites
To understand the content on this page, you should know how to
- Install ANSYS
- Have an understanding of Solidworks
- Taken material science and deforms (anyone can press buttons, to get meaningful results you should have an understanding of the principals and models behinds what you are doing)
Where to Start
- The best resource is this free course by Cornell hosted on edX.

- You do not need to do CFD
- Another great resource for being able to justify your models:
Both of these are really going to set you apart compared to other students at the same grade level.
Getting Started
- You should do the Cornell course first before continuing.
