Prerequisites

To understand the content on this page, you should know how to

• Have solidworks installed
• Taken statics (ESM-2104)

Installation

• Follow the guide on 4help for the basic installation.
• It is a bit of a complicated one, so be prepared.

Integrating with solidworks

• Select CAD configuration manager 202X R2 from the ANSYS folder on the start menu, right-click run as administrator
• Select the Solidworks check box and the workbench interface
• Click “Current User” for configuration actions
• Click next, then configure selected cad interfaces and exit.
• This will allow ANSYS to directly read Solidworks file Extensions

• You will now be able to launch ANSYS from solidworks
