Giving Day

This is the biggest fundraising event that VT hosts. The goal is to get as many people as possible to donate to the school so all the departments, organizations, teams, and programs can have funding. Donations need to be a minimum of $5 and are tax deductible. To get people to know about Giving Day and donate, Tech has the different clubs compete to see which can get the most people to donate in their name. The top 10 groups that get the most people to donate get money for their club. Giving Day 2025 had us get 11th, being 2 doners short of the top 10. While this did sting, it was our first time as a club being involved in Giving Day, so as long as we strategize for future years, we should have a good shot of being in the top 10 or even top 5. • Strategies and Suggestions

  • Make fliers to hand out at different events or to families interested in donating (have a general template and then customize it w/photos and info relevant to that year)
  • Inform/ give fliers to parents and kids that attend events such as FFL/ other Lego outreach events (I'm pretty sure we are allowed but double-check with the elementary school)
  • Make a flier template for Giving Day that can be modified to fit the current year
  • And more (any other new ideas put here)
