What is an iMate?

Connecting (constraining) a bearing to a c-channel can be difficult. CAD likes circles because it can find the center point of both circles and connect them. But c-channels have square holes. Every hole on every c channel has a circle in it, and these circles have iMates on them.

The first thing to do is select both the bearing and the c-channel, with ctrl+click. A lot of little white dots will appear, these are the iMates. Press C on your keyboard (or click constrain in the ribbon). In the window that opens, select Insert and then select both iMates that you want to connect together.

Note: Remember that metal has thickness, and therefore has 2 iMates per hole, one per side.

Missing reference parts on sensors?

We did not include the reference parts folder in the library on accident. This has been fixed in v1.1.

Download this folder. Extract the zip and move the Reference Parts inside your Sensors folder.
