  1. (3/16/15) - initially written by Usaid
  • Adding flywheels to stack totes easier, do better autonomous, coopertition, and utilizing the landfill. We will fit them in the transportation by (just an idea right now) using a pin to fold-in and fold-out the flywheels. The wheels will be rubber-coated and will have actuators so we can hold the totes in place/'throw out' totes for coopertition. The flywheels will be pneumatic because they are (according to build team) more reliable. Planned to be worked on along with the Recycling Container Stealer
  • Get Recycling Containers/'Steal' them from opposing alliance (Planned to be done along with Flywheels)
  • Also, a 'tote stop' idea was proposed by (Josh?) to hold the totes maybe using the proposed flywheels.
  • Weight reductions for these changes will be by cutting 1.5 lbs from the heavy metal holding the totes on the floor and changing gripper design. Also planning to cut weight by changing motors, shortening the chain, changing grippers to hanging hooks, rebuilding tote chute, replacing 1x2 beams with 1x1
  • Litter-throwing was also proposed as another way to get points
  • Get more FRC Awards - focus on more than just the 'Rookie' ones
  • Hour-by-hour schedule for Nationals was went over (2:00 - 5:30, Machine Shop and parts; 5:30 - 8:00 - Access to Robot)
  • Pushing another robot in autonomous to get all robots in the auto zone
  • Getting yellow totes by pushing the recycling container using the flywheels (idea, not made) and getting yellow totes
  • Ideas for adding compatiblity for recycling containers (pneumatic arms, hooks on grippers, etc.). Ideas were based on what other teams did
  • Marketing Improvements - 'blue hair', buttons, better flag, improving the video displayed at the pit, hats, signs (stand fanfare).
  • Improving the Pit - organization, presentation, etc. Have Scouting take pictures of other Pits (idea).
  • New Meeting Organization Proposals (¨Leaders¨ are only for planning until competition):
  • Joseph is put as leader for SCRUM Meetings (SCRUM is the new meeting format we will follow)
  • Oliver is put as leader for Scouting (in charge of Scouting algorithms, forms, etc)
  • James is put as leader for the Pit (layout, mapping, etc.)
  • Josh is put as leader for Improving Video (of Robot, Building, Community Outreach recording)

  • Usaid is put as leader for Software (just keeping track, not necessarily coding. Since, Oliver and David are not availiable . . . )
  • Jenna is put as leader for Hats, Signs, and Mascot (self-explanatory, 'fanfare')
  1. (3/17/15) - done by Usaid
