Google Drive can be accessed as a Drive in the File Explorer |
Google Drive integrates into the Finder under Locations and, depending on the settings for the finder, on the desktop as an Icon |
Google Drive for Desktop provides access to both My Drive and Shared Drives.
My Drive presents files only accessible to the user logged into Google Drive unless you share documents with others | |
Shared Drives lists all the drives to which you have access |
To make files available when working offline (no internet connection), select Offline access, Available offline on selected folders and files. As soon as connection to the internet is established, any files that have changed either locally or on the shared drive will be updated automatically. Note: This procedure can also be applied to improve performance when accessing large files as a copy of the file is kept on the computer. |
