Drills

Drills are tools used to extract resources from a planetary body (planet, moon, or asteroid) for storage or processing. They come in multiple sizes and support extraction of different resources. Drills also support one or more Converters modules. These can be configured so the drill processes a single resource at full efficiency or distributes the efficiency across multiple resources.

Construction bits

Several items have been provided to help with constructing bases. In addition to the Konstruction! mod, MKS provides the following.

Extraplanetary Launchpads

Extraplanetary Launchpads is a separate mod that allows initially constructing ships, bases, and other items in the SPH or VAB and then using special parts and processes to construct them on other planetary objects using launchpads or stakes.

MKS has developed its own take on this, providing two capabilities for remotely building ships and other craft. Each part can store a certain amount of MaterialKits and SpecializedParts. These parts are purely cosmetic without EL.

Note that these parts are depreciated and will likely be removed in a future version of MKS, as EL support is being replaced with support and integration for Ground Construction.
