VirtualBox

You need to enable 3D hardware acceleration in VirtualBox settings. VirtualBox is not support hardware cursors, so software cursor is used instead (which is a bit slow).

QEMU/KVM

Ubuntu Sway Remix supports QEMU/KVM, but only with Pixman-based software renderer (enabled automatically at boot time, when QEMU/KVM is detected). QEMU is also does not support hardware cursors. It is possible to run Ubuntu Sway Remix in Virt Manager, with enabled OpenGL/VirtIO video driver (virgl)
