Once again, after making a Z calibration, it will be stored in "ImageJ registry" and so further it will be used for Z position calculation. Keep in mind, that after you restart ImageJ/FIJI, the calibration will still be there. For example, when you run Calculate Z values, the plugin will not ask you for the calibration file. The currently stored version of the calibration will be used for registration.

You can see the currently stored calibration parameters (coefficient of polynomial fits) by running
Analyse -> DoM vX.X.X -> Z axis (astigmatism) -> Show stored Z calibration

and the plugin will output its details to the Log window of ImageJ:

In addition to the fitted coefficients, the plugin stores the date/time of the calibration creation for convenience.

allow to save/load calibration data as a text file.
