Welcome to the UTSA RAS URC Wiki! ๐
Welcome to the official University Rover Challenge (URC) Wiki for the UTSA Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Team!
This wiki contains all the essential information regarding our team's work, documentation, and progress in preparation for the 2025 University Rover Challenge (URC). Our goal is to design, build, and compete with a Mars rover capable of performing real-world tasks in a simulated Martian environment.
๐ About the Competition
The University Rover Challenge (URC) is an international robotics competition organized by the Mars Society. Teams from around the world design and build remotely operated rovers to complete tasks that simulate assisting astronauts on Mars. The competition includes:
- Science Mission ๐งช โ Analyze soil samples to detect signs of life.
- Delivery Mission ๐ฆ โ Deliver supplies across rugged terrain.
- Equipment Servicing Mission ๐ ๏ธ โ Operate a robotic arm to manipulate hardware on a lander.
- Autonomous Navigation Mission ๐ค โ Travel to set locations without human input.
