Printer Info ‐ Bambu Lab P1S

Overview

The Bambu Lab P1S is a high-speed CoreXY 3D printer with an enclosed chamber, supporting multi-material printing with an AMS (Automatic Material System).

These printers can be found in the makerspace and are a useful resource for fast reliable printing.


Supported Filaments

  • PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, TPU, PC, PA-CF, and others
  • High-temp/CF materials require a hardened nozzle

Slicer Software

  • Bambu Studio – Official slicer (Windows and Mac)
  • Orca Slicer – Community-supported alternative
    • You can use the Orca slicer on both Windows and Ubuntu-based OS.
    • Make sure you download the Orca slicer from GitHub, as other sites may have malicious software.

Setup Instructions

  1. Select "Bambu lab P1S" in slicer
  2. Slice model making sure to use appropriate build-plate, AMS and filament settings
  3. Export G-code to Printer SD card
  4. Ensure filament is loaded, build-plate is clean, and that the build-plate is the correct type
  5. Start printing!
