Data Dictionary: analyte units, names, and data source - USEPA/SuRGE GitHub Wiki
We need to adopt analyte names and reporting units that are consistent between the three analytical laboratories (MASI, ADA, AWBERC, daniels). I suggest that we adopt the analyte names and units shown in the table below. For example, the data frame would have a nh4
column and a nh4_units
column. The value in nh4_units
would be "ug_n_l".
Several inorganic nutrient analytes (no2, no2_3, oP) are quantified via ion chromatography and colorometric methods. The ion chromatography results are reported in the anion files and the colorometric results are reported in the nutrient files. We will always give preference to the colorometric results.
