Design
It was decided early on to have two player inventory components an item bar and a classic inventory. This idea was inspired by Minecraft's item bar and inventory among others.
Discarded Alternative Inventory Designs
Inventory controlled by item weight (see Skyrim inspirational art) Grid inventory where items take up a different amounts of space (see Resident Evil inspirational art)
Art
A pipe themed inventory with 16 item slots.
Toolbox fitting a plumber, intended to be used as a chest or item storage.
Pixel numbers for item stacking, made to fill up roughly 1/4 of 64x64 to ensure clear visibility for the user.

Testing Plan
We feel that using interviews to user test our designs allows us to modify and enhance our designs. We are going to interview 5-10 people.

I ran a user test of the inventory design to assess whether it fit the style of the game and the backstory. And what do players think about the subsequent improvement of inventory.
