User Testing

In order to gain insight on the design of the level 2 crafting menu, an online survey was created and distributed.

Results

Question 1

Aim:

This question was asked to determine whether the level 2 crafting menu design was on-theme with the rest of the level 2 assets.

Analysis and Call to Action:

As seen in the raw data, 93% of respondents agreed that the new crafting menu did fit the theme of level 2, whilst only one respondent disagreed. The following questions were posed to ensure that the disagreeing respondent could voice their opinion and give us meaningful feedback to improve the design.

Aim:

This was posed as an opportunity for the respondents to give our team feedback on the design of the level 2 crafting menu.

Analysis and Call to Action:

As seen in the responses above, there was only one piece of meaningful feedback that could be taken into consideration. The respondent suggested that other symbols could be added around the menu, such as a hammer or spanner. Our team discussed this suggestion, considering how the menu might become too crowded if we were to do this. Ultimately, the team decided that just having the one symbol would be enough.

Future Testing Plans

Similarly to the crafting table, our team plans to do secondary user testing for both crafting menus (both levels). This will ensure that there is cohesion between both designs, whilst still individually fitting with their respective themes. This will allow us to make any necessary changes to either menus.
