Team Consultation
Considering that the Player Guide provides an overview on all teams' features, it was imperative that they all be consulted individually on their opinion of what to include and to ensure all information that does get included is correct. Below are transcripts of conversations with different teams concerning their relevant feature information:
Team 2 - Inventory
Team 9 (T9): hiii guys we're making a 'player guide' page in the pause menu which includes everyones features - just wanted to check if the following information is correct:
Team 2 (T2): Potions need to be added to the quickbar before using them. Other than that all correct
T9: waiit so it'll appear in inventory, then you need to go into the inventory and press equip, then it'll go into the quickbar ?
T2: Yep
T9: okii easy thx
Team 3 - Enemies
T9: hiii guys we're making a 'player guide' page in the pause menu which includes everyones features - just wanted to check if the following information is correct and if there's any other key information you'd like to be included?
T3 (Team 3): Everything is good, but I’d change the wording of this paragraph. Maybe something like “You have to complete level 1 by killing Heracles and then you have to complete level 2 by killing Mega Poop.” Just cause the current wording makes it sound like Mega Poop is on level 1. But other than that, good job. The player guide menu looks nice.
T9: ok will do! thx
Team 4 - Combat Items
T9: hiii guys we're making a 'player guide' page in the pause menu which includes everyones features - just wanted to check if the following information is correct and if there's any other key information you'd like to be included
T4 (Team 4): scrap that, you can delete the debuffs, our team doesn't want to implement it anymore
T9: okkkk i’ll chuck in weapon stats instead - is that ok?
T4: 👍🏽
T9: hey is the wiki the latest info on the weapons stats?
T4: Omg yes that's a great feature that we wanted to implement but wouldn't have time. Displaying weapon stats would be very useful. # That wiki info is probably outdated. You can pull the latest info from weapons.config
T9: okiiii ty
T9: is this sufficient information?
T4: it is correct
Team 7 - NPCs
T9: hiii guys we're making a 'player guide' page in the pause menu which includes everyones features - just wanted to check if the following information is correct and if there's any other key information you'd like to be included
T7 (Team 7): yup seems to be all good
T9: sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet tytyty
Team 8 - Skills
T9: hiii guys we're making a 'player guide' page in the pause menu which includes everyones features - just wanted to check if the following information is correct and if there's any other key information you'd like to be included
T8 (Team 8): Hi, we‘ll redesign the skill book in sprint4 to look like a skill tree, so it would be more appropriate to describe it as a ‘Skill tree‘ (remove the word 'book')
T9: oh sweeet that'll look cool ! sorry i'm not too familiar with how skills as a whole will function but is the information about missions correct?
T8: Yeah, absolutely~ We'll let you know if anything else needs to be added.😃 Thx mate btw
T9: no thank you for replying so quickly ! have a good nite ~
T6 (Team 6): Hey guys! Just wondering what missions they need to complete to unlock each skill in the skill tree. Thank you!
T8: You gain exp from killing enemies, it's 1 exp per enemy atm, hasn't been tuned to num enemies etc
Future Directions
Should extra information or any individual features are updated, future tests would need to gather feedback on the extra/changed information.
