Overview
This page views the design process that has been gone through whilst creating the buff timer animations/ icons for a better user/game play experience. The idea was to be able to show users the current buffs they had equipped in a way that was obvious, yet not annoying for players during an intense game play. The purpose of completing this would be integral for users within the game as it allowed for a better response and engagement between the game and the players.
Furthermore, in order to add elements of juicy game design and responsiveness of game content, animations have been implemented to the static buff icons that can be found around the map. The inspiration for this stems from the fact that this would allow for a better game immersion for individuals as they are now easily able to identify what and where the buff is.

User Testing and Feedback
User testing was done on the buffs and the timers that were implemented during sprint 3. The testing plans can be found here. Furthermore, users were asked if they thought having bouncy icons would benefit the game and came back with a mixture of responses. We have decided to go with implementing the bounces as for the above mentioned reasons within the overview section.
