Specification
The target audience for this test were the users within the our studio. Four questions were asked to gain insight on their opinion of the eel colour and medium fidelity projectile, with one extra question for additional comments the user may have. The feedback will be used to create our final design.
Purpose
The purpose of the test was to know what are users opinions on eel. This includes:
- What size should the projectile be?
- Should the eel be brighter?
- What colour projectile was most favourable?
Design of Tests
To meet the goals of the test, 4 questions were designed.
- Do you think the enemy is too dark under night brightness?
- Which colour do you prefer under night brightness? If none, please suggest a different colour.
- Which projectile design do you think complements design guidelines and game the most? If none, please suggest a different colour.
- Which projectile size do you prefer?
The final question allowed for any additional recommendations from the user. All questions required a multiple choice answer allowing us to collect specific information from users.

Analysis
From the results above some general conclusions can be made:
- 50% of users believed the eel was too dark, 50% of users believed the eel was bright enough under a night shade. This implies the eel may need to be brighter to reduce split in responses
- 100% of the users preferred a yellow projectile over a purple projectile and 81.8% of users preferred a yellow electric projectile over other medium fidelity designs. This shows that users are happy with the design and that the design of the projectile can be narrowed down to a yellow electric projectile in future iterations.
- 63.6% of users commented that the projectile needs to be smaller
Summary
Thus, in general the responses collected showed that studio user's were pleased and had a common consensus in regard to the eel projectile colour and design. As majority of users wanted to see a smaller projectile this will be improved on in future design iterations. Furthermore, to amend the split in opinions in regards to the brightness of the eel, the colours need to be brightened in the high fidelity design.
