Contents
Specification
The target audience for this test were the users outside of our studio with ages ranging from 16 -25. In our testing we reached users within the age bracket of 18 - 22. Nine questions were asked to gain insight on their opinion of the eel's animation features and it's suitability in the Atlantis Sink visually. The feedback was then improved upon.
Purpose
The purpose of the test was to know what are users general opinions on the eel. This includes:
- Is the eel visible and easy to see?
- Are the colours and brightness/darkness favourable?
- Is the speed of animations appropriate and realistic?
- When should the animations be playing?
Design of Tests
To meet the goals of the test, 9 questions were designed.
- Can you see the tail animation clearly?
- Can you see the hand animation clearly?
- Do the tail and hand animations move too fast?
- Do the tail and hand animations look realistic?
- Should the animations stop when the enemy stops moving?
- Do you think the colour of the eel is suitable? (Under day brightness)
- Do you think the colour of the eel is suitable? (Under dawn brightness)
- Do you think the colour of the eel is suitable? (Under night brightness)
The final question allowed for any additional recommendations from the user. The survey consisted of multiple choice and one short answer response.

Summary
Thus, the survey above has collected valuable data as it represents an uninfluenced opinion. It can be seen that the animations appear clear and at an appropriate speed as majority of users showed a positive consensus. Users also came to an agreement that the eels should not stop moving when still and therefore this must be implemented into the game engine. However, attention was brought to the brightness of the character under the night cycle once again and therefore collaboration with Team 9, Day and Night cycle team is required in Sprint 4.
