PM Experiences - UNIWien-PM2019-Gruppe10/perfectcar GitHub Wiki

How did you experience the tripple workload:

  • project management agreements,
  • handling documentation via GitHub,
  • implementing the actual changes for the website

While working on the project, the assignment and issue workflow in GitHub actually takes away some workload. Especially the time consuming synchronisation of everybodies plan vanishes. When tasks and deadlines are communicated between two people, everybody can see the roadmap and pitch in or pitch out, as they see fit.

When was managing issues and changes a support and when was it a barrier?

When the names of issues are not self-explanatory, it becomes hard to track what really has been done. If the changes are of no significant importance, we are losing overview.
For fast communication and for the whole team to be at the same page all the time it is really helpful.

Did you feel your team benefited from the GitHub setup (project wiki, issues definition, Kanban)? Why or why not?

Our team benefited because everyone is mostly working remotely. We only contact each other directly if there are further questions about issues or changes.
