3D Magneto Optical Trap (MOT) subsystem:

  1. ECDL - Extended Cavity Diode laser
    1. Isolator - Optical isolator and cylindrical lens pair
    2. Telescope - reduces laser beam waist
  2. SAS - stabilizes laser frequency using Saturation Absorption Spectroscopy
  3. Double Pass (focal length 50mm) - modulates laser intensity and frequency
  4. Fiber coupler - monitor wavelength with wavemeter
  5. MOT subassembly
    1. MOT Branch X - PBS splits off power from main branch and directs through quarter waveplates and retro-reflection
    2. MOT Branch Y - Next branch directs light orthogonally to first branch
    3. MOT Branch Z - Final branch cools and confines atoms in 3rd dimension
    4. Permanent Magnet holders - Creates anti-Helmholtz field at the center of the MOT (MISSING)
