on-chain governance manual
Summary
This manual is mainly used by U Network ecosystem members to participate in the decision-making of project development direction or other matters. Users can make certain proposals and get community support. The project team can make decisions or carry out certain activities based on proposal results.
Functions

Pledge tokens Pledge tokens into the chain management contract. After pledging the tokens, users can obtain voting rights, the weight of the vote is directly proportional to the number of pledged tokens.

Withdrawal tokens Users can withdrawal their pledged tokens after the lockout time is over.

Proposal Users can make proposals regarding the direction of the project and get community support.

Voting Users can cast their own votes with regard to the proposals to express their position.

Proposal browsing Users can browse ongoing and closed proposals to understand the content and final results of the proposals.
Instructions

Pledge Enter the number of ‘UUU’ tokens you want to pledge, click ‘Deposit’
PS: 1. The amount of tokens pledged by the user determines the voting weight

Withdrawal Click ‘Withdraw’ button, withdrawal all ‘UUU’ tokens pledged in the contract
PS: 1. Users can only withdrawal all pledged tokens at once 2. The lockout period for pledged tokens is at least ‘1’ day 3. Every time the user pledges tokens, the lockout period will be refreshed to ‘1’ day

Proposal
- Click ‘Create Proposal’ button to enter the ‘proposal’`
- Enter ‘Proposal Creator’, ‘Creator Profile’, ‘Proposal Title’, ‘Proposal Summary’, ‘Proposal Detail’ accordingly. Based on the format requirements, enter UTC time for ‘Vote Start Time(UTC)’ and ‘Vote End Time(UTC)’ accordingly.
- Click ‘Submit’
PS: 1. User proposal does not require any pledged tokens 2. User proposal needs to consume additional UUU tokens, which is currently set to ‘0’ UUU 3. User proposal vote start time cannot be earlier than the current time 4. User proposal voting period cannot last longer than ‘30’ days 5. In addition to strictly following the format, the time setting of the user proposal must be ‘UTC’ time 6. Users cannot submit proposals with the same details

Proposal browsing
- Enter on-chain governance page
- Check the list of proposals: a. Click ‘Active Proposal’ button to check on active proposals. You can view the proposal title and summary.
b. Click ‘LeaderBoard’ button to view closed proposals. You can view the proposal title, summary, and final voting results.
- Click ‘Detail’ button to view details of the proposal, including proposal detail, creator, voting start time, voting end time, and creator profile etc.

Voting Enter ‘Detail’ page, click on either ‘Agree’ or ‘Disagree’ button to express your position.
PS: 1. The amount of tokens pledged by the user determines the voting weight 2. Pledged tokens can be used for voting on multiple proposals 3. Each user can only vote once for each proposal 4. If a user increases the amount of token pledged, the weight of future votes will be increased but the weight of casted votes remain the same 5. Besides pledged tokens, voting will consume a certain amount of UUU tokens to indicate that the vote has been seriously considered by the voter. The current consumption is set to ‘0’ UUU 6. After casting the vote, the pledged tokens will be locked until the end of the proposal
