GAME FILES SELECTOR USAGE
Usage of the 'GAME FILES SELECTOR' window should hopefully be self evident, though a bit of an explanation is probably in order, for some of the useful features that can save on number of clicks.
The first option to note, is the 'OS Select' one. That determines how the other radio options work.
With 'ALL' selected in the 'OS Select' dropdown combo field, clicking the 'ALL' radio button selects (ticks) every file.
If 'Win-Lin' was selected instead in 'OS Select', then only Windows and Linux game files would be selected (ticked) when clicking the 'ALL' radio button. The process ignores what isn't present.
NOTE - Clicking the 'ALL' radio button always selects every 'Extras' file, regardless of the 'OS Select' value.
To see everything, if some list entries aren't completely shown, you can stretch the width of the 'GAME FILES SELECTOR' window. Just select an edge and drag to the width wanted.
Once you have selected all the files you wish to download, click the DOWNLOAD button.
This presumes you have previously set the correct 'Download Destination' folder and sub-folder type naming options, as well as Language(s) and OSes.
If you ever need to stop the downloading process, then enabling the 'Cancel' checkbox, will stop any further downloading after the current file has finished downloading. If you wish to stop the current download as well, then close the black console window ... if you've set it to be hidden (minimized), you will need to restore it from your Windows taskbar first.
Once downloading has started, you will get feedback at the start of every filename as it is being processed. You will also get a progress bar report of the current downloading file.
When a file starts downloading, it gets the following text at the start of its file name - Downloading...
Once downloading of a file has finished, its size will be checked, and if okay the following leading text will show instead - PASSED...
Or if the size doesn't match that on record, or the file doesn't exist, the leading text will instead be - FAILED...
Or if there is no file size on record, the leading text will be - DONE...
Or if the download doesn't occur due to not enough free destination drive space, then it will be - SKIPPED...
Then the file is relocated to the game name sub-folder, and if 'Validate' was set on the SETUP window, that occurs.
Game files will show the following text at the start of the filename, while being validated and a checksum value exists - MD5check...
Extra game files that are a ZIP file, will show the following leading text instead - ZIPcheck...
After an MD5 check the leading text will either be MD5okay... or MD5bad...
After an ZIP check the leading text will either be ZIPokay... or ZIPbad...
List rows are colored after the result of each process, accordingly. The colors aren't shown until all selected downloads have completed.
LIME = successful game file download.
AQUA = successful game extra download (or game file without a checksum value).
RED = a failed download or failed size check.
PALE GREEN = file exists but no size listed to check with.
FUCHSIA = a failed (skipped) download due to not enough free drive space at destination.
GREY = file skipped due to already existing in destination game folder (there is a new 'Skip' option added to the window).
That's the downloading done ... and validation, if you had that selected.
You can click the LOG record button on the GUI's main window, to see results and times of each process and what they were.
If you want to see your downloaded files, then just click the (yellow icon) 'folder' button on the main GUI window.
If you would like to relocate Linux or Mac files to a separate sub-folder, then the new SUB button on the main GUI window can do that for you. It creates a sub-folder inside the game folder using the 'Slug' title as the folder name. The process also copies the game cover image (Folder.jpg) file to it.
