Pantheon of Zusha

Although there are many variations between the different peoples of Zusha, and some of the deities have different names, the basic core of the creation myth is the same.

Mumis, the Creator

In the beginning, there was nothing but the empty void. Then came Mumis, an incomprehensible and ancient entity, ambulating through the cosmos over the great, mystical web he cast before him, its threads woven into the very fabric of reality. Long after Mumis disappeared into the depths of the void, the lattice he left behind remained and continued to vibrate with the movement of the distant demiurge. The agitation of the Mumis Mesh pulled on the fabric of reality, causing the creation of matter, energy, light, and life.

Ilara, Daughter of Mumis, Mother of All

The goddess Ilara was the first of the gods, rising fully formed from the mesh itself. Ilara, recognizing that she was bored and lonely, and seeing the mesh and all of its creations, began to play its strands like a harp, bringing into existence her children, the greater gods.

Xesis and Xenia, Twin Gods of Matter and Energy

Xesis and Xenia gathered to themselves the detritus cast off by Memir’s Mesh. Xesis carefully selected from the materials before him to form great balls of air, water, metal, and earth in glorious formations. Xenia took from him these things and worked into them her breath, which set the gas and liquid to swirl and flow and caused the metal and earth to boil and churn. The largest of his workings she caused to glow and burn in many colors.

Ezlos, God of Time and Motion

Seeing the works of Xesis and Xenia, and believing them beautiful, Ezlos set out to show them off. He took the largest, and most luminous of the bodies and placed the others about it so that they would be best illuminated, and then he set them spinning about each other and set the whole to spin about them.
