Honda has made some exciting changes to the 2017 Honda Ridgline. It is redesigned to be roomier and more conventional than the model it replaces. This mid-size truck has plenty of space in the bed of the pickup, as well as plenty of power in the engine, so hauling and moving cargo is easy. The new Honda Ridgline is sure to impress fans of mid-size trucks and of the previous Honda Ridgeline.

2017 Honda Ridgeline - Exterior and Interior

Starting with the exterior of the 2017 Honda Ridgline, there are some pretty major changes from the previous model. The new Honda Ridgeline has been redesigned to look more like a traditional truck. It is more streamlined than the previous model and will have far fewer spilling bed lines. Additionally, the new model has a split line down the middle of the tailgate, which allows the tailgate to open like a Dutch door. It also has a built in trunk in the bed as well as an option that allows the tailgate to be locked, which provides added safety and security. The interior of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline has undergone some major changes as well. The cab bed is roomier and allows four adults to sit comfortably. Most of the features of the Honda Ridgeline are fairly basic, but still high quality. All of the new standard features, such as a digital dashboard and console which provides access to controls as well as a hands free connection for the driver’s phone are included in the console. Rear and forward facing cameras as well as improved mirrors help to make turning, passing, and parking easier and safer. The seats are comfortable, and are covered with a durable leather. There is also ample headroom and leg room so that both passenger and driver will feel comfortable. The biggest competitor of this model will be new Toyota HiLux for 2017.

2017 Honda Ridgeline - Engine and Performance

Like most mid-size trucks the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is designed for performance. It is able to carry and transport cargo easily and effortlessly. This means that it needs a well-designed engine that is both powerful and made from high quality materials. This mid-sized truck is equipped with a 3.6 direct injected V-6 engine that provides approximately 300 horsepower. Cylinder deactivation means that it will better exceed newer, stricter emissions standards set by the EPA, which was a concern with the previous model. In addition to the engine, the new Honda Ridgeline comes with an automatic 6 speed transmission that makes it easy to change gears and powerful enough to climb hills even when carrying a full load of passengers and cargo. It will also be offered with the option of a 9-speed automatic transmission.
