The original MSTEMV3 EV Kart has a drive-by-wire system for its throttle control. The pedal is connected to a DAC which outputs the throttle value to the electronic speed controller (ESC).

To hack into the system for autonomous control, a multiplexer must be in the middle to select the control signal from either the low-level controller (New Eagle Raptor Controller) or the pedal. The pedal emulator module does exactly the job.
