What is Containerization?

Containerization is the encapsulation of software code so it can run consistently on any foundation. This process also allows developers to create and enable applications quicker and more securely. This is in contrast to the current method where a piece of code is created in one environment and when that code is moved to another this can result in errors and bugs.
