Sapphorian Obedience Schools are specialist schools designed to reform unruly girls. Their regime is extremely strict and punishing, equal parts punishment and correction. Only very badly behaved young women are sent to these schools, and most return entirely broken and submissive.

History

Some time after the adoption of humiliation-based punishments at high schools, the Sapphorian Government began having a problem with small numbers of girls rejecting the school's authority entirely. While most girls reacted to the advent of stripping, spanking and other such punishments by being as well-behaved as they could in order to avoid them, a few chose open rebellion, doubling down and exhibiting worse behaviour, no matter how naked or spanked they got. The problem was somewhat controlled by the arrival of bondage as a punishment, as physically restraining these girls prevented misbehaviour for the duration of the punishment's time, but when behaviour still failed to improve, the Sapphorian Educational Control System (SECS) decreed that they should be removed from their schools lest they influence others.

With hundreds of girls excluded from school, this tactic was a temporary reprieve at best. A number of proposed solutions were put forward, ranging from compulsory military service, through imprisonment, private educational initiatives all the way to mass exile. The only solution that could be agreed was specialist schools to house these girls and educate them as best as possible. It was agreed early on that they could not be softer than regular high schools, lest it encourage other girls to rebel in order to be moved to one. The Education Ministry ended up going hard the other way and making them the most punishing they could possibly be, dialling everything about their old schools up to 11.

Boarding

All obedience schools board the girls, with a girl sent to one committed to a minimum of one 13-week term. Most stay longer. The girls are not allowed off school property without permission, which will only be granted to girls showing exceptional good behaviour. Even on weekends, the girls must remain in the school grounds, and in uniform, and can be placed in restraints if they attempt to leave.

Girls sleep in communal dormitories, typically berthing 16-20 girls each. There is little in the way of privacy. Showers are communal and there is no private changing area. Girls are subjected to a fully body search each morning and evening, including a vaginal check. They are made to rise at 6 and must stand by their beds in only their panties as teachers and prefects search them. Their beds must be made immaculately or they will be spanked in front of the rest of the dorm. After this, they must shower together, and once dried, stand naked by their beds until a teacher or prefect says otherwise. Only then will they be permitted to dress and head to breakfast.

This ritual is repeated on an evening, when again they must stand in their panties by their beds for inspection. The girls are permitted to don a nightie after inspection, which must be removed before the following morning's inspection. All nightwear must be sheer to ensure the girls are not concealing anything.

Every inch of the dormitory, showers and even toilet stalls is covered by CCTV, ensuring the girls are able to hide nothing.

Uniform

Uniform rules are strictly enforced by the school and there is no chance of breaking them. Panties are inspected daily and blouses and skirts are expected to be immaculate, or else they will be confiscated. The uniforms tend to be even more uncomfortable and revealing than regular high school uniforms, and it is common for blouses to be translucent. Because the girls are issued everything except panties and bras on arrival at the school, socks and shoes are identical and reputed to be very uncomfortable until broken in. Stockings, piercings and any other form of accessories are strictly banned. The only items permitted are scrunchies and clips for the purposes of securing hair and these will be provided on request by the school to ensure they are regulation. Tattoos will be removed by laser before the girl is even allowed to attend.

Hairstyles must be neat and no other hair is permitted on the girl's body. She is expected to shave her legs, armpits and pubic hair daily and will be stripped, restrained and have it done for her in front of her peers if she fails to do so. Girls are not allowed to dye their hair and will have it all shaved off if they defy this rule.

Make-up is also subject to strict restrictions, and teachers will force girls to remove their make-up for the day if it is found to be excessive. A girl to whom this happens more than twice will be banned from wearing make-up for the rest of the term. Girls are allowed to wear moderate amounts of foundation and blush and may apply a thin layer of eyeliner, but lipstick is banned. Eyelashes must also not be excessively made up and extensions will be confiscated. Eyebrows may be trimmed but may not be modified in any other way.

All pubic hair must be shaved daily and will be checked after the girls shower. No hair at all is permitted below the girl's neck (besides the hair on her head, which is also subject to a a maximum length of 4 inches below her shoulders.) This restriction is shared only by slave girls and serves to truly humble and ram home that the girls are not in control of their own bodies.

Other school rules

Girls are not allowed mobile phones. They are confiscated on arrival and anyone caught with one will spend at least a week naked. If a girl wishes to bring any other personal effects into the school with her, she must submit them for inspection when she arrives. Confiscated items are returned when she goes home at the end of term.

Girls at these schools do not have any rights, and staff may strip, spank and otherwise punish them as they see fit, within the usual restrictions of being unable to cause injury. Clothing will often be confiscated for days or even weeks at a time and girls may be required to report several times a day for spankings. Staff at these institutions are vetted even more rigorously than regular high school teachers following a scandal in the third era in which teachers were found to be using pupils as de facto sex slaves, however it remains common for girls to trade sexual favours to the staff for preferential treatment or to avoid the worst punishments. Staff doing this are technically breaking the rules, but with no advocates, and few willing to take them at their word, girls know it would be pointless to report them, and would likely only incur punishment.

Girls at obedience schools are not permitted to receive visitors. The only exception to this rule is that their teachers from their previous school may attend to check on their progress. Their mothers may not attend as isolation from them is part of the psychological conditioning that they are subjected to. The idea that their friends may attend is laughable and would result in very severe punishments for all involved.

Educational programme

The lessons themselves follow the standard Sapphorian Educational Control System curriculum to ensure that girls can reintegrate into their old schools upon release. Classes obey the same hyper-strictness as the rest of the system, and all chairs are equipped with restraints so that disobedient girls can be subdued with minimum disruption. Talking out of turn, failing to work and failing to maintain a presentable appearance are all punishable, as are many other undesirable behaviours.

Most obedience schools do not have a sports kit and require girls to do sport nude or in their underwear.

Extra-curricular Activities

All girls attending obedience school are required to participate in an after-school activity at least three times a week, and will be placed in one of the less desirable after-school clubs if they fail to do so. The more desirable clubs include fitness, dance, art and craft activities, while the less desirable ones include most sport clubs, "pony girl" clubs, in which girls will be forced to pull carts, lapdancing clubs, which are exactly what they sound like, and slavery clubs, in which girls are "trained" as slaves as a warning of the path they may be on if they do not improve their behaviour and engage with their education. Badly behaved girls will have these activities chosen for them.

Slavery clubs Almost no girls who attend these clubs do so by choice. The purpose of this two-hour after school session is to give the girls a taste of a life of slavery, and make sure they understand that this is what awaits them if they fail to pass high school. Each girl is stripped completely naked and made to wear a replica slave collar. They are then subjected to "training" and forced to serve others. Many schools bring in specialist trainers, as the teachers who run these clubs tend instead to take on the role of the mistresses that the girls must serve, (further humiliating them.)

Common activities at these clubs involve cleaning, serving food and drink, dancing, providing entertainment and sexual services. Staff may require girls in slavery clubs to have oral or even full sex with them without restrictions as long as the event is logged with the school authority and subject to inspections.

Obedience schools are a common and very popular work placement for aspiring slave-handlers. University students taking a course in slave control are required to complete over 100 hours of in-work placement during each year of their course, and obedience schools offer one of the best and most reliable ways to do this.

Punishments

As mentioned above, all of the punishments available to regular high schools, including stripping, spanking, bondage and humiliation are also used in obedience schools, with fewer controls on their limitations.

Punishment plinths are used in obedience schools, and most are also equipped with restraints. Unruly girls will first spend time restrained on the plinth, then later be required to stand or kneel unrestrained to demonstrate their submission. Repeated infractions will result in longer corrections, fewer clothes and greater restraint. In line with criminal justice regulations, the maximum time a girl can spend restrained in a single day is 10 hours total, and she must be allowed rest periods and recovery time afterwards if she is restrained for longer than 4 hours.

Some obedience schools also employ the use of "one-bar prisons," a metal pole with a rounded plastic end that is secured to the floor and inserted upwards into the girl's vagina, then locked at that height, preventing her from moving. Because it penetrates all the way up to touch the cervix, it is very difficult to move off the device. However, the girl's ankles can also be secured at the bottom with restraining cuffs to make it completely impossible if staff are concerned that she might hurt herself in the attempt. Girls secured to a one-bar prison are usually at least bottomless, and most often completely naked, though it has been used from time-to-time to restrain clothed girls who's infraction was very minor. Like punishment plinths, these are usually placed in high-traffic areas to humiliate the victim.

The schools place a great emphasis on submission to authority and the girls are required to show great deference to the staff. Rudeness to a teacher or other staff member will often result in the girl being collared and led around naked by that staff member on a leash (in restraints if necessary) until she has shown sufficient submission and penance. Girls must curtsy to staff as they pass and must kneel whenever addressed directly outside of a classroom.

Obedience schools also employ the use of cages, and girls can be placed in them for long periods of time, or even made to sleep in them if their behaviour is especially bad. The cages tend to be placed, like the punishment plinth, in high-traffic areas of the school and girls locked in them are usually naked. Cages range in size from those large enough for a girl to walk around in to ones in which they are forced to their hands and knees. The smaller the cage, the less time the girl is permitted to be kept in it, with cell-sized cages able to be utilised for up to 12 hours and the smallest box-cages, which allow almost no movement at all limited to an hour's confinement followed by a mandatory 6-hour period of freedom.

Leaving an obedience school

Most girls sent to one of these schools very quickly realise that the remainder of their time at school will be unbearable if they do not find a way to be accepted back into the mainstream education system, and so do what they must to satisfy their teachers that they can be allowed to leave.

At the end of each term, each girl is assessed on two main metrics: her educational scores, which are an aggregated total of her exams and coursework, and her "obedience score," which is determined by the teachers.

Educational scores are assessed relative to the girl's grades at the time she was committed to the school, and the teachers will be looking for improvement, rather than for a particular passing or failing grade (since intelligence and academic prowess varies from girl to girl.) In general, staff will look for a significant improvement.

Obedience scores are more subjective, with teachers preparing a report on each girl each term, detailing levels of compliance, punishments received, overall scores in how polite, helpful, well turned-out and submissive the girl is. Only a very high score will be enough to secure the girl's release and return to normal school.

The average time that it takes for a girl to meet the criteria to leave an obedience school is one year. (Three terms.) Many girls fall just short in their second term, usually on obedience score, and it is in these circumstances that more unscrupulous staff have accepted sexual favours from girls in return for nudging their obedience score over the line a term early, or even marked them down if they wanted to keep them around.

Each girl who attains adequate educational and obedience scores must undertake one final test before she is allowed to leave. In front of the girl's peers, parents, the entire school staff and any visitors who wish to attend, the girl performs a series of menial actions, (stand up, kneel down, put your hands on your head, crawl on all fours, etc) which she must perform completely naked, answering "Yes, Miss" after each command. The final test takes about ten minutes, and the girls are generally done one after another in a single afternoon on the last day of term.

The purpose of this final humiliation is to demonstrate that the girl is now broken and submissive, and also to ram home to her that she is powerless. She is ritualistically humiliated in front of everyone she knows by women she hates, that have spent the past several months dominating and punishing her. It is a humbling experience and one which stays with her. After this, she is required to pose naked with her (fully clothed) teachers for a "graduation photo" which will be displayed for several years to come in the school's hallways, and a copy sent back to her original school for them to use as they see fit.

Effect

Obedience schools have over a 99% success record in reforming unruly girls and turning them into submissive young ladies. Because girls who fail high school can, at the behest of the youth court, be enslaved if they are judged to be unlikely to become a productive citizen, girls who attend these schools know that this will almost certainly be their fate as attending an obedience school will not mitigate in their favour.

Girls sent to an obedience school generally last no more than a few days before resolving to be on their best behaviour to avoid the many punishments that are available to their tormentors. From here, the real work of making them accept it in their mind begins, as no girl will be released if the teachers believe that she hasn't been truly broken. For this reason, the girls that were the most rebellious at the start are subjected to the most humiliating treatments. Many snap several times before the accumulated effects start to wear them down. Only once these girls are truly broken and compliant will the staff ease up on them.

A high number of girls who have attended obedience schools go on to become strippers, prostitutes and arena fighters. This is partly because the disruption to their education caused by spending so much time being broken and dominated causes their grades to be lower on average, but studies have also shown that the effect of this treatment has often been to make them crave more domination. The psychological effects of being treated like a slave and put utterly at the mercy of others gives them deep-seated issues around domination and submission.
