Katie is a 19-year-old schoolgirl at Saint Alancia's where she is in Miss Paris's first year class. She is of average height and build with red hair and blue eyes. She has formed a group with Stacey and Rachel, which may have arisen out of the need for mutual protection, but they three are now close friends and are usually seen together.
