List of Keywords for Genre - TravelingRobot/NAI_Community_Research GitHub Wiki

This page is outdated!

The research notes in here concern the Sigurd model. Do not apply anything in here to newer models (e.g. Euterpe or Krake).

For Euterpe and Krake there is a guide by pume_ that describes current best practices for memory (an important note is that you want to use the ideas discovered here in Memory, not in Author's Note).

Uncategorized

  • adventure might be worth to explore differences of 'adventure' as tag versus genre (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • Horror (Fuzzy)
  • memoir and Biography. Biography seems to work better capitalized. (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • noir (various)
  • mythological (djhato)
  • religion similar to having it in Tags? Can give you stories about priests, churches etc. or attempts at religious texts (djhato)
  • Western quite strong keyword in initial testing. Seems to work slightly better capitalized? (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • Drama (Cass)
  • Fable and Folklore. Both might work better capitalized (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • Historical Fiction seems to work better capitalized (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • Historical (Romance) or Historical Romance (Cass)
  • Mystery (Cass)
  • post-apocalyptic (Kalmarr, TravelingRobot)
  • Nautical Fiction can occasional generate stories with space ships, so you might want additional keywords for other attributes to counteract that. Works better capitalized. Confirmed with recursive testing. (Cass, TravelingRobot)

Fantasy

  • Fantasy seems to work better capitalized (various)
  • dark urban fantasy worked slightly better lowercase in initial testing. (various)
  • High Fantasy stronger in initial testing than just Fantasy (Vegetables are not geese, TravelingRobot)
  • light novel (Cass)

SciFI

  • cyberpunk can be combined with 'Genre: Western' to give you post-apocalyptic scenarios (might pull from Fallout New Vegas) (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • dystopian (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • sci-fi, SciFi, science fiction, Science Fiction seem to all work equally well, but seem relatively broad. You might be better off specifying a more specific sub-genre. Confirmed with recursive testing. (TravelingRobot)
  • Hard SF and hard science fiction both work, but unclear which keyword is stronger (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • military SF (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • space opera (Kalmarr, TravelingRobot)
  • Space Western seems to work better capitalized. Initial testing suggests Sigurd knows the Genre but the attribute on its own seems a bit weak. Might need a fitting context to be good (Cass, TravelingRobot)
  • time travel still needs to be compared to putting this in Tags (TravelingRobot)

Non-Fiction

  • cooking (Cass)
  • Art gives you discussions of art forms. Initial testing indicates it might be better capitalized? (Cass)
  • how-to for writing instruction manuals and guides (Cass, TravelingRobot)
