Potions And Effects
This mod adds new potion recipes for some existing vanilla effects, as well as some entirely new ones. Not all effects added by this mod have a corresponding potion, and some can be gained or inflicted by using certain items or the abilities of certain weapons.
Added Vanilla Effect Potions
Health Boost
By brewing a Heart with up to three awkward potions, you can obtain a Potion of Health Boost, which can be further brewed into its Long, Strong, Splash, Lingering, and Arrow variants. The base form of this potion will give the effect for three minutes.
Absorption
By brewing a Heart of Gold with up to three awkward potions, you can obtain a Potion of Absorption, which can be further brewed into its Long, Strong, Splash, Lingering, and Arrow variants. The base form of this potion will give the effect for 45 seconds, or until the bonus hearts are exhausted.
New Effects
Health Down
This effect is the opposite of Health Boost, and will reduce the affected entity's max health by four (two hearts) for the duration. A potion for this effect can be obtained by brewing a potion of Health Boost with a Fermented Spider Eye.
Corrosion
This effect is close to, but not exactly, the opposite of the Resistance effect, causing affected entities to receive 15% more damage from all sources. Additionally, the armor of affected entities will degrade by an extra two points of durability each time damage is taken. A potion for this effect can be obtained by brewing an awkward potion with Chyme.
Berserk and Exhaustion
This effect increases the attack speed, attack damage, and movement speed of affected entities drastically. However, when it wears off, the opposite will be true for a few seconds. To combat this, while you have the Berserk effect, you can continually slay entities to increase the duration of the effect, to a maximum of 12 seconds. There is no potion associated with this effect, but it can be gained by consuming Consecrated Flesh or using the ability of the Jawblade weapon.
Hemorrhage
This effect does nothing to an effected entity at level 1. However, each time the effect is applied to a target, the duration of the effect is reset, with its level increased by 1. Once the effect reaches level 3, the target will instantly take 1/4 of its maximum health (capped at 15) as damage. This makes the effect particularly useful against targets with large health pools. There is no potion associated with this effect, but it can be inflicted by certain weapons like the Sacrificial Dagger and Sacred Spear.
Certain bloodless entities may be immune to this effect, such as Iron Golems and all Skeletons. In the finished version of this mod, this will be managed by a tag. If a target is on fire, or takes fire damage while it has any levels of this effect, the Hemorrhage will be cleared as the wounds cauterize.
