Mobs

Most of this mod’s mobs are invaders from an alternate dimension overgrown with a superorganism of unfathomable size and power, although some are man-made creations or parasites that have made their way into the superorganism. Each of the Wound mobs play their own role in the organism’s biology, as functions of its immune system, or daily processes.

Parasites

Creatures alien to the Wound itself, which have squirmed their way in from our world and begun colonizing the rich resources of The Wound.

Mosquito

Flying insects that drain blood to survive. When Wound mobs are slain on land or in the air, Mosquitos may rarely be ejected from their body, and attack the player as a new potential host. After they attack, their abdomens will visually become swollen with blood. Rarely, a mosquito that is already full may spawn, and flee the player. Hunting down this mosquito may reward you with a Heart. The player can gain the service of a few Mosquitos by using Parasite Eggs outside the water.

Leech

Swimming worm-like creatures that latch onto their host and drain it of blood. When water-based Wound mobs are slain, these creatures may sometimes be ejected from their body, and go after the player as a new potential host. The player can summon Leeches of their own by using Parasite Eggs inside the water.

Man-Made Mobs

Mobs of non-Wound origin, created by manipulation of its life-giving power and vital essence.

Morsel

A tiny homunculus created by a blood mage sacrificing some of their own vital energies (be it health or hunger) and mixing it with the power of The Wound to create a minion that acts in its owner’s defense. Individually, they are small and weak, but fast, and a horde of them can quickly overwhelm a target. If their service is complete, they can be consumed by their master to recoup some lost health and hunger. But what kind of monster would do such a thing? The player can conjure Morsels by using the Fleam tool, or by consuming a Multiplying Morsel.
