How to use the module - TomWhitwell/TuringMixExpander GitHub Wiki

##Installation

##NB: Do not connect this module to your power supply

  • This module is normally attached to the GATES output of the Turing Machine backpack.
  • Feel free to try this module on the PULSES output of the backpack for a blippier effect.

##How it works

  • The signals at output 1 and 2 are two different mixes of inputs 1,2,3,4. The mixes are controlled by the Turing Machine.
  • If the Turing Machine is locked at 11111111 (i.e. all LEDS are lit on the Mix Expander), then this module acts as a simple 4 channel mixer, with two identical outputs. If the Turing is locked at 00000000 (no LEDs are lit), then there will be no output (save a little bleed, perhaps).
  • The fun starts when the Turing Machine has a moving pattern.
  • If bits 1,3,5,7 are lit, channels 1,2,3,4 are sent to output 1.
  • If bits 2,4,6,8 are lit, channels 1,2,3,4 are sent to output 2.
  • The pots simply attenuate the input signals. They have no effect on the pattern itself. If all pots are fully turned up, and all channels are lit, you may get distortion in the output.
