ROS Group Meeting -- Monday 05 August 2013 Meeting called to order at 3:00 pm by meeting chair Tom Hulme. Scheduled Group Meeting


Members present: Tom, Johnny, Theo, Chris, Benny, Tae, Nicole


Agenda Item #1: .gitignore Discussion: The group recognized a need for a .gitignore file. Action: Perhaps look at THIS ROS .GITIGNORE and take what we need, and edit the rest.


Agenda Item #2: Project Plan Discussion: Grass and Sheepdog were discussed. Action: Implement a possible field node which all sheep and grass subscribe to - and have the field tell sheep where grass is. And Sheepdog and Farmer will both be in Alpha version, only moving around presenting a danger to the sheep though.


Agenda Item #3: Testing Methods Discussion: How are we meant to test? Action: Create small, single field farms, which we can use to test behaviour of robots and nodes. E.G. Does my sheep's eating algorithm work? Better test in a tiny field.


Agenda Item #4: Alpha Tickets Discussion: We should put up some tickets so everyone can view and discuss alpha progress. Action: Create github Issues. Since they can only be assigned one person, we will just have to leave them unassigned - and set them to the alpha milestone. Also, make 2 tickets per feature. One for the actual feature, one for tests.
