Standard installation combined with stratux

stratux-radar-display can run directly on your stratux device. You can find an example of a case with everything installed in the wiki. Connect the displays to the GPIO pins of the Stratux. This installation is for standard users and does not require special knowledge. I To install the software perform the following steps:

  1. For preparing an Micro SD for your pi, download raspberry pi imager from raspberry.com (download link). Make sure to have Pi Imager version 2.0 or newer.

  2. Configure Pi imager by specifying "App Options" and "Image Repository" and then "Custom URL".

    Use the following URL as "Custom URL" (make sure you add no additional characters by copy and paste) and push "APPLY & RESTART"

  3. Now select the pi devices you want to flash. Afterwards Pi Imager will give present the applicable images. Select

  4. Insert a SD card in your PC and the press "Continue" and "Write image"

  5. Insert the SD card into your stratux device and let it boot. After the stratux has booted, connect your device (PC, tablet or mobile) to the "stratux" wifi network

  6. Check that you can connect to the stratux web interface by opening http://192.168.10.1 in a browser on your device

  7. Open the radar configuration web interface opening http://192.168.10.1:81 in your browser. Do not forget the ":81", the configuration server is listening on port 81. As default the configuration web server is active for 10 minutes after reboot.

  8. Configure stratux-radar to your needs (select display and other features)

  9. Press "save and reboot radar"
