Organization description:

Bat Ami is a national service organization that operates and coordinates volunteers in the national service.

The "Mishlavim" program within the Bat Ami organization works to integrate young people with disabilities into the national service system.

The "Mishlavim" program recruits high-school graduates (before college) and places them in voluntary settings according to their skills and abilities. After their placement, these young people receive professional guidance from social workers and coordinators within the Mishlavim organization. The aim of the program is to create promotional employment for those young people with disabilities and help them progress while contributing to society.

The project's target:

The aim of the project is to create a mobile android application through which both volunteers and their coordinators will be able to follow and be update the volunteer's condition and progress. The app will both allow the volunteers to set goals and their respective coordinators to track their compliance.

The main goal is to enable the volunteer’s independence, initiative, development of maturity and personal responsibility, meeting the goals and personal tasks he sets for himself in collaboration with the program coordinators and administrators.

Nowadays the documentation that tracks the volunteers progress is done through Google documents, which is limited and not always easy to access, the coordinator fills the documents once every two weeks with the volunteer but then the volunteers does not have access to these documents and can not view his previously filled forms.

Our goal is to create a platform that will be easily accessible to volunteers that will enable documentation of all the forms he filled out during the year so that he can observe them as well as edit them and even add new goals himself. In fact, we want to make the process of achieving and documenting goals fun and enjoyable.
